In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing government-mandated tax filings and ensuring compliance with both GAAP and STAT standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and prepare government-mandated tax filings for the organization alongside its subsidiaries, including wholly and jointly owned entities.
• Supervise the preparation of tax provisions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT).
• Leverage your in-depth knowledge of tax regulations, GAAP, and statutory accounting to structure transactions and communicate their effects effectively.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in tax accounting (ASC 740).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to articulate tax strategies.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local taxation matters.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting, tax compliance, and planning, ideally gained within a corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
