Job description

Leading Company in the Railway Sector, specializing in signaling solutions, ERTMS/ETCS, and interlocking systems. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a Interlocking Engineer to actively participate in strategic projects.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in the technical management of large-scale international railway projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical compliance of the projects with client requirements and for overseeing the smooth progression of the different project phases.

From Belgium, you will join the team working on a project in Egypt, and to ensure client satisfaction, you will:

  • Analyze the client’s technical requirements and associated documentation to propose suitable and innovative solutions.
  • Prepare and update various technical documents (technical tenders, specifications, analysis reports, etc.) according to the project phases.
  • Act as a proactive contributor by suggesting new and optimized technical solutions, based on the project’s needs.
  • Ensure the technical compliance of the proposed solutions with railway standards and client requirements.
  • Participate in internal and client meetings to clarify expectations, validate solutions, and present the results achieved.
  • Collaborate closely with other project engineers and project managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the different parts of the project.
  • Continuously monitor project progress and provide ongoing recommendations for improvements.

  • Capable of being both thorough in technical analysis and concise in presenting solutions.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, able to work effectively in a team to achieve common goals.
  • A solid understanding of project management processes and quality standards in the railway sector, particularly in interlocking systems and ERTMS/ETCS.
  • Aptitude for organizing your work, setting priorities, managing critical points, and meeting the deadlines set.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and with clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineer with a specialization in the railway field, with relevant experience in projects related to interlocking systems.
  • Professional proficiency in two of the following languages: French, Dutch, and English (written and spoken).
  • A strong interest in railway technologies and a desire to evolve in a continuously developing technical environment.
