Role in a nutshell:
As the Total Rewards Senior Lead, you will design, implement, and manage the company’s total rewards strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s compensation, benefits, and recognition programs are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have an impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and other business stakeholders to develop a comprehensive rewards program that supports employee retention, engagement, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Total Rewards Strategy:
Develop and implement a competitive total rewards strategy aligned with the organization's goals. This includes compensation, benefits, wellness programs, recognition, and employee engagement initiatives.
2. Compensation Management:
Oversee and lead the compensation function including salary benchmarking, market analysis, pay-for-performance frameworks, and incentive programs. Ensure pay equity and compliance with local and federal regulations.
3. Benefits Administration:
Manage the design, communication, and administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks. Ensure offerings are competitive and align with employee needs and company goals.
4. Recognition Programs:
Develop and lead employee recognition and rewards programs that enhance employee engagement and performance, supporting a culture of appreciation and achievement.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all compensation, benefits, and rewards programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
6. Budget & Vendor Management:
Develop and manage the budget for all compensation and benefits programs. Negotiate with external vendors and manage relationships with third-party providers to maximize cost efficiency and service quality.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of the total rewards programs. Provide reports and dashboards to senior leadership on compensation trends, workforce demographics, and program effectiveness.
8. Employee Communication & Education:
Lead communication efforts around compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. Educate employees on the value of their total rewards package and how it aligns with their professional growth and the organization’s goals.
9. Leadership & Collaboration:
Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all matters related to total rewards. Collaborate with HR business partners and other departments to ensure alignment of total rewards with overall talent management strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred).
7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards roles.
Expertise in compensation structures, job evaluations, market pricing, and pay equity.
Experience managing employee benefits programs including health, wellness, and retirement plans.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
Proven experience with HRIS systems, data management, and reporting tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with relevant labor laws, compliance requirements, and best practices in total rewards.
