What You’ll Do  

The role of the Senior Manager, Commercial Experience – Program Management is to bring the Travel Product to life for the Olympic & Paralympic Games travel products & hospitality programs.  This role will primarily serve as the program management support for the travel product with a focus on in-market operations. 

 

This role will work in market to build and establish relationships with On Location, Milano Cortina 2026, local vendors and companies to ensure an authentic, unique and once-in-lifetime experience for guests.   

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES 

 

  • Support the Program Management team in every facet of strategic planning to develop a scope, structure and budget for travel products & hospitality programs  

  • Identify opportunities for enhanced program design and offer exemplary service to the guests   

  • Lead successful program operations planning and delivery for the guest including special events, tours, city passes, and other itinerary inclusions  

  • Develop and update changes of detailed and comprehensive itineraries for all travel waves and for all constituents maximizing the use of all assets 

  • Support the program management of the product including the development of the guest experience and journey based on product while implementing the correct level of service  

  • Develop strong positive relationships with teammates and other functional areas (FA) based upon clear and frequent communication, mutual trust, and ability to meet program needs  

  • Develop, build and manage relationships as required with internal and external constituents including IOC, Milano Cortina 2026, vendors, suppliers, OL executives and management, client leads and FA to facilitate and move aspects of the programs forward as required 

  • Maintain a guest -first approach by looking at the entire event ecosystem through the lens of the guest journey  

  • Develop and track budgets against financial targets 

  • Report deviations from approved budgets so appropriate adjustments can be made to keep budget on track 

  • Establish and implement project plans, weekly calls or reports, as needed and required to keep the project on time and in budget  

  • Manage budget and accounting for the operational spend including vendor set up and payments  

  • Analyze and review financials relating to post-event sales, event expenses, payments, reconciliations, client reporting, and general ledger allocations 

  • Execute all other duties assigned by the team or leadership 

  • Support planning and execution of site visits including logistics for hotels, venues, restaurants, etc.  

  • Support elements of the guest journey as needed and required for the in-venue and off-venue products (IVH/OVH) 

  • Available to assist other workstreams related to Olympics and Paralympics as needed 

 

 

Other Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Create presentations and documentation in Microsoft office (PPT, Word, Excel, etc.)  

  • Develop and implement specific event procedures and systems 

  • Conduct and attend meetings as needed, including commercial experience meetings 

  • Attend meetings and take notes to record updates and next steps 

  • Manage timelines and deadlines related to assignments 

  • Participate in brainstorm sessions; research, ideate and provide creative ideas 

  • Manage other administrative duties as needed 

 

 

You will have

Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Marketing and/or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred  

  • Experience in a management position within global hospitality and events (minimum of 10+ years) in the sport, media, and entertainment industry 

  • Extensive global hospitality experience  

  • Specialised experience with a commitment for service excellence  

  • Ability to negotiate with and manage relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, marketing and sales skills 

  • Strong relationships within global events community 

  • Strong management and leadership skills 

  • Experience in strategic thinking and planning events including putting process and best practices in place 

  • Extensive experience with guest services as well as event curation, execution, and/or operations 

  • Experience in Microsoft office (PPT, Word, Excel, etc. required)  

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels including strong oral, written, and presentation skills 

  • Experience managing budgets and processing payments 

  • Strive for ongoing creativity, innovation and new way of planning and executing events 

  • Fluency in English

Working Conditions:  

Fixed Term Position –Remote North America

 

Travel: 

Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule and be available to travel for work which may include extended work hours during nights, weekends, and holidays.  This position may require up to 15% travel.  Some domestic & international travel will be required in the lead up to the Games (up to 30%).  The role will be event based for the duration of the Games.
