Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages as needed to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide psychotherapy tailored to the individual needs of patients, employing various therapeutic approaches.
• Manage psychiatric emergencies effectively, ensuring patient safety and care continuity.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care and support.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources.
• Advocate for patient rights and mental health awareness within the community.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with legal standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid nursing license in the State of Virginia.
• Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
• Clinical experience with adolescents or adults facing mental health challenges.

Compensation And Benefits

For Part-Time (minimum of 15+ billable hours per week):
