Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our forefront team in wearable safety technology. Our innovative cloud-based Safety Platform serves multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, government, and commercial workplaces, ensuring rapid response in emergencies. With over 600,000 badges deployed across more than 12,000 locations nationwide, we are dedicated to empowering and safeguarding individuals daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Ownership: Assume responsibility for our multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability to accommodate emerging requirements.
• DevEx Enhancements: Lead initiatives to enhance the Developer Experience (DevEx), optimizing processes, tools, and pipelines to elevate productivity and system dependability.
• Architectural Contributions: Collaborate with senior team members to advance and refine the platform architecture, aligning it with present and future business goals.
• Incident Response: Act as a principal incident responder, engaging in on-call rotations for the swift resolution of platform issues, with a keen focus on root cause analysis and preventive strategies.
• Security Focus: Partner closely with the Information Security team to embed best security practices into our infrastructure design and management.
• Automation and Optimization: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems, utilizing automation to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborative Projects: Engage with cross-functional teams in Development, Product, and Security to deliver significant platform projects and initiatives.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or GCP, spanning 5+ years.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production settings for 3+ years.
• Demonstrated expertise in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) capacity, showcasing strong automation and scripting capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Certifications in AWS or GCP are advantageous but not mandatory.
