BuildOps is looking for a talented product designer based in Los Angeles, CA who will be responsible for key initiatives and product areas. This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing startup with the unique opportunity to help build and improve critical parts of the product for our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Independently own the end-to-end design process from user flow diagrams to polished designs that are ready for engineering handoff
- Participate in discovery calls and visits with our users and synthesize research into key insights that will support your decisions
- Partner with product managers and collaborate throughout the design process to deliver solutions that bring value to our users and our business
- Work closely with engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, constraints, and iterate on ideas quickly
- Participate in design reviews by sharing work with the team and providing constructive feedback to the other team members
- Contribute to the design team’s culture of collaboration and support
What We Look For:
- 3–4 years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of delivering successful products from concept to launch
- Expert proficiency in Figma
- Must be detail-oriented
- Strong understanding of cross-platform mobile UX/UI principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse audiences
- A passion for design and a relentless commitment to creating exceptional user experiences
- Ability to travel up to six times per year for team meetings and customer visits
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with the commercial trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and/or construction
- Experience working on enterprise or vertical SaaS
- An understanding of HTML and CSS principles
- Familiarity with tools like Dovetail, UserVoice, and Jira
- Understanding of financial business practices
