About the Position
As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in generating new sales opportunities and adding qualified leads to our sales funnel. You will be responsible for outbound and inbound prospecting, including cold outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn, as well as qualifying warm leads. You’ll be the customer’s dedicated point of contact during the qualification period, creating an incredible first impression and providing an unrivaled customer experience. Your work will directly impact our goal of making AI accessible for innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.

Prospecting & Lead Generation
  • Identify potential clients through research, inbound leads, and outbound outreach (emails, cold calls, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads, utilizing CRM tools to track engagement and activities.

  • Customer Outreach
  • Engage with decision-makers (e.g., CTOs, Engineering Directors, CIOs) to understand their business needs and introduce them to our AI solutions.
  • Tailor outreach strategies to each prospect’s industry and use case, positioning the value of CentML in solving specific business challenges.

  • Qualifying Leads
  • Assess the potential of leads by asking targeted questions to uncover their business needs, budgets, and timelines.

  • Market Intelligence
  • Stay informed on AI industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to effectively communicate with prospects.
  • Gather insights from prospects and customers to share with the marketing and product teams for ongoing improvements.

  • What you’ll need to be successful
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in a technology environment. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a persuasive and confident approach.
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and thrive on change
