This is a remote position.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server migration expert with expertise in cloud platforms to assist us in migrating our SQL Server from a local server to the cloud. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a webhook that will be triggered whenever a new row is created in a specific table.

Responsibilities:

Assess our current SQL Server setup and recommend an appropriate cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for migration.
Configure and deploy SQL Server on the chosen cloud platform.
Migrate our existing database from the local server to the cloud instance.
Set up and configure a webhook mechanism to trigger events when new rows are inserted into a specified table.
Ensure the security and reliability of the cloud SQL Server instance and webhook setup.
Collaborate with our team to test the webhook functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Requirements

Proven experience in migrating SQL Server databases to cloud platforms.
In-depth knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in SQL Server administration and configuration.
Experience setting up and managing webhooks or similar event-driven architectures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience with database triggers and stored procedures.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
