We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata System Administrator with over 7 years of expertise in the architecture and configuration of Oracle Exadata systems and Cloud OCI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Linux System Administrator in enterprise environments, with a deep understanding of security features and best practices for data protection. Knowledge of tuning and monitoring tools, performance tuning skills for operational efficiency and cost reduction, and experience with backup and recovery solutions are essential. A good understanding of other Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise is also required. Our client is a British Big Data Company.

Requirements

Experiences and Achievements:

Management of large-scale Oracle database migration projects from Risk Architecture with Solaris OS to ExaCC
Performance optimization of on-premises and cloud Oracle Exadata systems to support critical workloads
Implementation of advanced security solutions for business data protection
Knowledge of event correlation and APM tools like Dynatrace
Ability to effectively and decisively handle critical situations (war room) to restore service as quickly as possible
Management of SR (Service Requests) in Oracle for issue analysis on the operating system
Contributing to team success by sharing knowledge and training colleagues on Oracle best practices

Education and Certifications:

In-depth knowledge of Oracle Linux, Red Hat, and basic Solaris operating systems
Good knowledge of Cloud OCI
Proficiency in both written and spoken Italian and English
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Soft Skills: Problem solving, adaptability, time management (essential for remote work), ability to communicate politely, clearly, and effectively, willingness to take on new challenges.
