Job description

Ibotta is seeking a Strategic Director, Client Partnerships to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As a Strategic Director, you will serve as the subject matter expert to our most important CPG clients, specifically in the Tri-State area. You will partner with one of the largest players in the CPG space and directly build and manage relationships with key members of your client’s leadership team. Additionally, you will be the client’s strategic advisor, responsible for expanding revenue across all business units.

What you will be doing:

  • Execute and deliver on initiatives (commonly cross-functional) that provide business impact beyond individual’s accounts
  • Connect the inputs we're receiving from our clients, providing insight and recommendation, which helps guide our broader strategy
  • Outreach to existing clients about new capabilities/positioning (Omnichannel)
  • Develop and implement account strategy that broadens our reach within existing clients
  • Beat annual revenue targets through the development, advancement, and closure of partnerships and execution of new businesses and expansion of existing business
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations that educate prospective clients on Ibotta’s value proposition, roadmap, and partnership opportunities
  • Work closely with other functional teams to ensure client partnerships are successfully executed from start to finish
  • Travel up to 40%

What we are looking for:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in a data driven sales role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience selling digital, mobile, or media advertising solutions into verticals such as Retail or CPG preferred
  • Experience selling into Fortune 500 companies preferred
  • Proven ability to sell into high-level leadership (including C-level) and to navigate potential customer organizations to connect with the business owner/decision maker
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (candidates do a mock pitch as part of the hiring process)
  • Expert negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close the deal
  • Flexibility, accountability, resourcefulness, to work with little direction in a fast-paced startup environment

Additional Details:

  • This is a remote position located in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, Lifestyle Spending Account, and 401k match
  • Total compensation range (OTE): $217,000 - $290,000. Equity is granted in addition to the overall compensation package. This range is inclusive of a base range and a variable bonus. Talk to your recruiter to learn more. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience
