Overview:
IDG is seeking a Senior Sales Compensation Lead who will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and transacting the variable compensation programs within our organization. The Senior Sales Compensation Lead will collaborate closely with Sales, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure that our compensation plans effectively enable the company strategy, motivate our employees to meet / exceed their goals, and reward & recognize their results.

This role can be based 100% remote in an east coast approved location or in our Needham MA office with a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, manage & administer variable compensation programs.
- Own the process e2e - Design, Implement, Employee Mgt, Quota, Crediting, Support, Payout & Analytics.
- Model the cost of variable compensation plans / paylines to optimize motivational outcomes vs. expense.
- Assess the performance of compensation plans using data analysis and identify areas for improvement.
- Interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights into compensation trends and patterns.
- Create and deliver training materials to leaders, managers and employees who are on compensation plan.
- Document variable compensation business processes, policy, playbooks and general rules of engagement.
- Create & deliver reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators, trends, and insights.
- Create & deliver stakeholders communication on compensation plans, policies & procedures as required.
- Answer helpdesk questions / queries from leaders, managers and employees on compensation topics.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, perform sample testing as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
- 10+ years of Sales Compensation, sales / revenue operations, finance or other equivalent experience in an enterprise company within the technology industry .
- 5+ years of experience with incentive compensation tools such as Varicent, SPIFF, Everstage, etc.
- Strong analytical / data management skills, power user of Salesforce, Power BI and Advanced Excel.
- Experience in statistical forecasting / data modeling to both set and maintain sales quota by account.
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills. Ability to engage stakeholders up, down & cross company.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in compensation administration.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, prioritize, define solutions & drive the delivery of results.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $170,00 and $200,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
