Job description

The Director of Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping the Datex strategic marketing initiatives. This role involves planning and executing marketing campaigns and communications, as well as driving strategic planning efforts targeted toward both existing and new markets. The mission is to develop and monitor effective marketing programs that align with our business goals. Reporting directly to the CRO, the Director of Marketing will oversee both internal and external Marketing team resources.

To be successful in this role, you must be located in the United States.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's business goals.

  • Executes strategic marketing plans to drive corporate growth, revenue objectives, and maximize well-qualified leads for our products and services.

Team Leadership: Leads and mentors a team of marketing professionals, both internally and externally. This includes recruitment, selection, and professional development to align with company goals and objectives.

  • Oversee all marketing team activities, ensuring tasks are planned, coordinated, monitored, and reviewed effectively.
  • Develops and improves the marketing training program.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers and Development team members to ensure effective information transfer on future product needs, enhancing product and solution effectiveness within targeted industries and markets.

Content Creation: Supervise the production of marketing materials including press releases, white papers, articles, case studies, profiles, website content, marketing materials, and sales documents to support the sales process and marketing needs.

  • Coordinates speaking engagements, webinars, and other specialized events for the various Department Leaders to enhance the company’s standing as technology experts.
  • Works closely with the sales team to ensure timely development and provision of all marketing materials and documents to meet the prospect’s needs.

Campaign Management: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.

  • Directs comprehensive advertising and promotional campaigns across various channels including print, online, digital media, social media, and direct mail.
  • Coordinate continual improvement of website to meet SEO and SEM needs.

Market Research: Coordinate market research to identify target audiences, understand market trends, and stay ahead of competitors.

  • Formulates positioning strategies and promotional plans to optimize long-term market share.
  • Evaluates market research, adjusting marketing strategy to accommodate changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitors competitive marketing activities and product positioning to remain competitive and stay ahead of changing market conditions.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, identifying potential business and product expansion opportunities.

Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools, adjusting as needed.

  • Monitors marketing performance, ensuring effective control of results, and implements corrective measures to achieve marketing objectives within the designated budget.
  • Coordinates the preparation and presentation of marketing activity reporting to company leadership.

Brand Management: Ensure brand consistency across all marketing initiatives and communications.

  • Manage all brand and messaging materials for efficient access internally and externally as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate updates to brand and messaging materials.

Customer Engagement: Develop strategies to improve customer engagement and retention.

  • Maintains relationships with key clients to facilitate information related to case studies, news releases, testimonials, and presentations.
  • Organizes and promotes the bi-annual User Conference.

Event Management: Supervise company event participation to maximize investment.

  • Maintain research on potential events for annual evaluation and selection.
  • Oversee event coordination.

Budget Management: Manages the marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI.

  • Develops, oversees, and monitors all marketing budgets and expenses.
  • Reviews and approves significant marketing purchases, including advertising, materials, software, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook), as well as understanding of MS CRM Dynamics 365.
  • Possesses firsthand knowledge and is comfortable working within HubSpot Marketing Hub.
