What is the role?
As the Missions Sales Director, you will lead satellite sales to Governments across your defined territory. You will be responsible for growing sales opportunities within the region, including upselling from the existing customer base.
Responsibilities
- Establish a trusted positive relationship with the customer
- Achieve additional sales with the customer, building upon existing sales
- Grow and develop satellite sales pipeline within the region for 2025-2026 initially
- Collaborate with the Data line of business and its sales persons located in your defined territory for mutual benefit.
Requirements
Must have:
- 5+ years of sales experience within the Aerospace, Defense or Space industry
- 5+ years of International sales export experience
- 5+ years experience with earth observation, preferably SAR
- Existing network to all levels of Government and Government Organisations in your market.
- Experience in executing complex strategic sales thinking and the application of professional sales processes.
- Ability to speak the local language
- Willing to travel as required, primarily in the region and to Finland
Preferred:
- Previous military experience
- Have produced capture plans and deliver upon win strategies
- Have a focus on customer success and a proven track record of closing sales based on value
- Strong desire to prove themselves with a hunger to excel in the industry
- Strong fundamental sales skills
- Experience in conducting lead qualification, development of opportunities, conducting gate reviews with management, leading multi-department team, bid-no bid reviews, understanding competitive analysis
- Charismatic and exceptional communication abilities
- Experience of using SalesForce or other CRM
- Sales training in Miller Heiman, Korn Kerry, Shipley or similar
