Dexcom’s U.S. 12-week internship program provides an experience driven program aimed at developing the next generation of talent. Team Highlights: Our user research team is responsible for global research to help the business understand, plan and design for our customer needs. Through a variety of research methods, we gather insights into customer behavior, pain points, and expectations.
Where you come in
As a User Research Intern you will be responsible for running product research that will help guide product development for Dexcom's industry leading line of products and services.
You will leverage your research knowledge to uncover insights from patients, family members, and health care providers to ensure we are both addressing and innovating around user needs.
We are looking for an intern with a growth mindset that can learn to work with new research methodologies and is hungry to understand the research needs of our various stakeholders including Designers, Product Managers, other Research teams, Marketing Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists.
What makes you successful
The ideal candidate will have experience running primary user research, have a passion for advocating for the customer, and finds reward in helping to create innovative and commercially successful products and services at a global level.
Recent graduate of undergraduate degree program, or student actively enrolled in advanced degree program (Masters, JD, or PhD)in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors or a related field preferred or equivalent.
You have 2+ years experience in conducting research including recruiting, moderation, analysis, report writing and final presentation of results.
You have an understanding of a broad set of user-centered research methods, including but not limited to one-on-one interviews, contextual inquiry and ethnographic field studies, surveys, A/B testing, focus groups, usability testing, concept testing, competitive assessments, diary studies, etc. Knowing when to use which method is essential.
You are confident and comfortable with mixed method research, metrics, and can synthesize and correlate quantitative and syndicated data with qualitative user research.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Requires a completed Bachelor’s degree.
Must be a currently enrolled Master’s, JD, or PhD student at an accredited college or university with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later.
Non-Exempt Salary Details:
The annualized base salary range for this role is $29.00 to $45.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
