Location: New York
Position Overview: The State Manager will have the responsibility of overseeing the planning, development and execution of Palm Bay’s sales priorities inside of IWS wholesaler. Ensuring the delivery of profitable growth and exciting action plans for our brands. Effective wholesaler and key account management in NY will be integral functions of this position.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Planning
· Establish an annual business plan to meet target volume goals.
· Monitor market conditions to capitalize on growth strategies.
· Submit updates to plan and forecast regularly.
· Ensure exciting plans are in place to grow and launch PBI priorities.
Budget & Pricing
· Responsible for the area P&L
· Analyze market conditions to communicate proper pricing strategies and trends.
· Properly manage Palm Bay International pricing strategies and Distributor margin.
Distributor Management
· Directly responsible for leading the communication and management of our wholesale partners and their day to day business.
· Constantly monitoring distributor performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
· Ensure wholesaler has all necessary tools and resources to accomplish company objectives.
· Responsible for sales meetings, trainings and market work with.
· Constantly raising the bar in our distributors and generating exciting growth and launch plans.
Market Management
· Responsible for independent and chain relationship development
· Coordinating with our Palm Bay Corporate chain and brand development team to deliver brand priorities to market.
· Responsible for supplier visit calendar in the state.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· 8 years of distributor or supplier experience
· Spirits & Wine experience preferred
· A foundation of spirits intelligence and the ability to educate others
· On and off premise sales experience preferred
· Competitive and Charismatic personality
· Strong communication, both written and verbal
· Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
· High level of proficiency with Microsoft office
· Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
· Safe driving record
