Job description
We’re looking for a Field Claims Adjuster to join our growing team!
As a Field Claims team member, you’ll be at the heart of what we do best: helping people. You’ll work alongside a passionate and diverse team of claims adjusters who are experts in helping customers get back on track after a loss.

Travel requirements:
In this role, you will be responding to claims in different regions.
All applications will be considered but we have a strong need in the following areas: Montréal, Outaouais, Montérégie, Saguenay, Chaudières-Appalaches, Estrie, Drummondville and Val-d'Or.
What you’ll do here:
- Let your technical expertise shine as you approach each unique situation.
- Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
- Assess the potential liability of the insured and third parties via consultations with experts.
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims within your established authority scope.
- Actively participate in claims catastrophes (CATs) and work overflow when required.
- Build relationships and collaborate with different teams including appraisal, underwriting and legal.
- Manage costs efficiently and effectively.
- Stay in-the-know about insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques and services.
What you bring to the table:
- You must hold a 5A Claims Adjuster Certificate.
- You must have at least two years of experience as a property adjuster.
- You have a college diploma, or equivalent work experience (an asset).
- You have a working knowledge of the law.
- You are an excellent communicator in both French and English. Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
- You have a valid driver's licence and a good driving record.
- You must be available to travel on short notice.
