The Commercial Accountant will provide Financial Assistance to the Commercial team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly sales, costs and overheads analysis vs forecast

  • Monthly P&L reporting

  • Quarterly Forecast and yearly Budget preparation including Product Groups, overheads, and advances

  • Mid-month Input, output and margin reporting

  • Develop and update procedures for role

  • Regular projects reviews completed including Milestone Billing, margins and WIP

  • Contract reviews

  • Ensure settlement process in SAP, for projects, are completed without errors

  • Projects review completed with Estimates to Complete

  • Weekly meetings with GM’s, Project Managers, and Head of Finance to update business update

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.



Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Education : Three (3) to five (5) years’ of prior experience in a Commercial Accounting role with the ability to analyze data and provide constructive commentary to management and commercial experience with contract reviews. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or technical procedures.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of SAP preferred.

  • has a CPA/CA or in the process of completing it.
