Job Description:

GDIT is pursuing multiple, large-scale, high-performance computing opportunities for applications ranging from weather & climate forecasting to nuclear weapons stewardship. GDIT is seeking exceptionally qualified candidates for Program Management positions for these programs.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:


1.    Demonstrated technical expertise in high-performance computing, including current state of technology for compute, storage, and interconnect elements, as well as system integration and optimization
2.    Experience working with NOAA, NASA, and/or DOE, including current relationships with agency staff
3.    Demonstrated program management experience, including successful management to budgets, schedules, and deliverable quality requirements, including service level agreements (SLAs); multi-site operation experience preferred
4.    Demonstrated experience managing large >$100M government contracts, including those involving high-performance computing
5.    Demonstrated expertise in program management, including successful management to budgets, schedules, and deliverable quality requirements, including service level agreements (SLAs)
6.    Demonstrated experience in 24/7 O&M of mission critical systems with high reliability requirements
7.    Demonstrated expertise in the entire lifecycle of high-performance computing systems - requirements, design, acquisition, implementation, testing, O&M, and refresh; expertise in facility requirements for high-performance computing equipment
8.    Current relationships with high-performance computing vendors
9.    Experience with maintenance and optimization of high-performance computing applications
10.    Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
11.    Education: Minimum of BS in physical sciences or engineering
12.    Professional Certification: Minimum of PMP in process (with ability to secure by March 31, 2025) required

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas.

The likely salary range for this position is $178,500 - $241,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
