Vitalief is a leading site solutions partner focused on improving the value and contribution of clinical trial sites across the drug development lifecycle.  We offer integrated Consulting (strategic and operational), Functional Service Provider (FSP) services, Workforce Solutions (training and career pathing), and Site Networks that enhance clinical trials and improve patient outcomes.  We are seeking a problem-solving, “hands-on” Business Development Executive to join our exceptional team and as our business grows this resource will build out and lead the business development team.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to our CEO, function in an individual contributor capacity, as a “hands-on” strategic sales leader driving new business, developing new client relationships and fostering existing relationships within the Research and Clinical Trials domain, and expanding our solutions footprint by identifying and recommending solutions that translates into new business.
  • Over time as the business grows, this resource will build out and lead a business development team.
  • Work cross functionally internally and externally, communicating with all stakeholders, managing client expectations and ensuring clients' success.
  • Effectively create and execute account planning and business development strategies.
  • Meet/exceed revenue targets by effectively positioning Vitalief as a highly valued, trusted delivery partner with client executives and management.
  • Shepherd sales pursuits by creating and delivering client presentations, proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs); this includes working closely with Vitalief’s executive management and solutions delivery team to provide innovative solutions to our client.
  • Represent Vitalief at relevant industry and networking events.
Required Skills:
  • At least 8 years of experience in business development working within the healthcare industry, including experience selling within the clinical research domain, providing staffing and/or management consulting (deliverable-based projects) professional services to clients.
  • Experience working for a CRO selling FSP (Functional Service Provider) services is a big plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Executive presence with strong leadership skills, and ability to establish partnerships with clients at all levels.
  • Proven track record of obtaining Master Services Agreements (MSA’s) with new clients, building long standing, valuable client relationships, and successfully fulfill client’s needs.
  • Highly effective at navigating client environments and leveraging team members to identify opportunities and provide optimal client solutions; and become that trusted partner that can help solve our client’s problems.
  • Problem solver with the ability to think outside the box to solve client problems in an innovative way.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, and ability to overcome obstacles and objections, thus gaining consensus with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline to ensure revenue and profit goals are achieved.    
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Highly driven, results oriented, competitive, positive person who thrives in a small, team oriented, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%) to various client destinations and industry conferences across the USA.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
