As a Channel Account Executive you will focus on current and prospective Channel Partners in a specific area and develop strategies to increase Anthology Products and Services sales through those defined Partners. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills combined with a sense of urgency to drive revenue generation working with Partners selling to the North America Higher Education Market. This is a quota driven position.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and deepening relationships with Channel Partner accounts to create increased sales opportunities
- Developing and maintaining a sales strategy and business plan for your Partner accounts; using the business plan as a roadmap for go-to-market program development, including sales goals
- Working with sales management on development and execution of sales strategy
- Developing sales forecasts
- Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Owning contract management
- Being a trusted and valued resource to Partners
- Collaborating with the field marketing organization to plan, deliver, and manage an effective communication and demand generation campaign for each Partner across the region
- Working with Marketing to access current sales tools and drive the creation of new solutions
- Working with peers across Anthology field and marketing organizations to assure that best practices are utilized to drive effective Partner campaigns
- Working with the Sales team to recruit partners in areas of need
- Creating sales for the company
- Working with Channel Manager to move opportunities through the sales process
- This role requires travel within the assigned territory (up to 25%)
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5-8 years of experience in a software sales and channel development function working with Distributors and Resellers
- Demonstrated success in major account development and relationship building; ability to work with people in multiple levels of an organization
- End user sales experience, record of achieving and exceeding revenue and recruitment goals
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
- Skilled in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks without losing attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience using Salesforce.com for opportunity management, activity tracking, and reporting
- Strong follow-up skills and drive to be successful
- Fluency in written and spoken English
The anticipated salary for this role is $62,800/year plus sales compensation depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
