The role 
The VP, Growth – Care Partnerships will be responsible for developing new provider and payer partnerships to help Synapticure grow the number of patients and caregivers we serve through strategic referral relationships. This role will report to the President, and work closely with the executive team to manage and cultivate a pipeline, and lead the full lifecycle of business development from initial pitch meetings through contract negotiation. 


Job Duties – What you’ll be doing
  • Strategic Leadership. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve growth targets across channels including health systems, ACOs, neurology groups, and payers. Collaborate with leadership to align channel strategies with overall company goals. 
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee all aspects across channels, including relationship management, maintaining forecast and analysis tools, and contract negotiation. 
  • Network Contracting Management. Oversee current and new fee-for-service contracts with national and regional payers across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid lines of business. 
  • Deal Modeling and Development. Support claims analytics and finance in developing perspectives on TCOC and cost avoidance for partner payers and risk bearing organizations. Design and execute on novel FFS and value-based deal structures.
  • External Engagement. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

  • Requirements – What we look for in you
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on health system, ACO and/or payer relationships. Demonstrated ability to drive growth with new partners. 
  • Proven track record of growth pipeline ownership and management, with demonstrated success in driving growth and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of payer and provider business models, incentives and specialty provider contract models including FFS and value-based payments. 
  • Strategic approach to leadership with the ability to effectively balance and prioritize multiple partnership opportunities. 
  • Exceptional communicator across in-person and virtual settings, with the ability to tell stories using data to create alignment across clinical, finance and operational leaders at prospective partner organizations. 
  • Reputation for creativity, dynamism, assertiveness, and tenacity.
  • Experience building and leading teams in growth stage organizations.

  • Travel Expectations
  • This role is expected to travel as needed (20-30%) to meet with prospective partners.
  • Salary Range Depending on your work location, skills and experience, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below plus access to healthy incentive compensation and equity options tied to growth targets.
