Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented Process Engineer with a passion for driving process improvements and operational excellence for a Federal client in the Washington, DC/Columbia, MD area. The Process Engineer will play a key role in defining, documenting, and improving processes through various methodologies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Define and decompose workflows using a structured operating model to assess and prioritize project activities effectively.
· Collaborate with project teams to consult on process efficiencies, methodologies, and technology options to optimize performance.
· Engage with architectural teams, contributing to solutions and POCs, ensuring that use cases, contingencies, and risks are appropriately managed.
· Create basic workflows from conversations and shadowing sessions, translating them into comprehensive diagrams that outline processes.
· Document established processes using standardized techniques, such as SIPOC, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
· Independently manage assigned workloads, prioritizing tasks in alignment with project goals and timelines.
· Exhibit sound judgment in producing draft documents with minimal guidance, as well as plan and lead the incorporation of feedback to refine documentation.
· Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to retrospectives aimed at improving overall workflow efficiency.
· 5+ years of experience with process documentation, design, and improvements.
· 5+ years of experience in business analytics, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret data.
· Solid understanding of Agile software development techniques and methodologies.
· Demonstrated client-facing experience in consulting, engineering, or technical project management settings.
· Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging client stakeholders effectively.
· Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and facilitate workshops and training on process improvement topics.
· Agency or public sector environment experience is preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree – Required
· No required certifications.
· Candidates must be US Citizens / Green Card Holders due to background check / clearance process.
