What you'll be doing…

Your mission will be to help us properly mine data and support key insight propagation that informs decision making across Verizon Consumer Group. You’ll be analyzing data and creating data visualizations that drive business action. Working across the company, you’ll use your analytical and visualization expertise to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, all with the goal of improving the customer experience and finding ways to make our business even better.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting data analytics for the Market Consumer Operations team, working to organize data and present it in a manner that is easily interpreted and can be actioned.

  • Working with multiple sources of data and identifying the best way to connect data sets.

  • Crafting results presentations and regular communications for senior management that provide key business insights.

  • Customizing each presentation specific to audiences based on background and knowledge of data presented.

  • Mining customer journey and lead data to highlight performance and opportunities for improvement.

  • Turning data into logical information for reporting, dashboarding, and visualization.

You are good with numbers, and you love to dig into data to find the story. Crafting reports and spreadsheets is a fun afternoon for you. You appreciate design and have a keen eye for detail. You understand the importance of accuracy in data analytics and reporting. You are a self-starter and a multitasker who can work independently under tight timelines. You want to make an impact by providing the data that will help improve the experience of our customers. You are well spoken and can articulate findings to a wide variety of stakeholders. You are comfortable working in ambiguity and are open to the unique challenges of working in a fast-paced consumer environment.

Where you'll be working...

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days. This position must sit in the Rolling Meadows, IL market hub.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in an analytical/statistical focused position, ideally related to media, marketing and demand generation.

  • Experience providing recommendations to stakeholders, partners, and business leadership within a matrixed organization.

  • Data visualization experience, building visually appealing and compelling presentations.

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics.

  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides.

  • Willingness to work weekend and after hour support as necessary.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Advanced business degree.

  • Demonstrated ability to define key business KPIs and establish performance measurement frameworks.

  • Consulting, market research, or ad agency experience.

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Project management experience.

  • Experience with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Salesforce, Invoca.
