Our client is one of the most experienced testing contractors in the nation, serving 13 states and delivering assessments for multi-state consortia. The company is a leader in transitioning states to online testing via one of the many testing products they offer. • Configure and implement data and metadata changes across production pipelines.
  • Develop test strategies, plans, and data sets to validate transformations and integrations.
  • Conduct comparative analyses to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Perform both automated and manual data reconciliation to guarantee completeness in BI reporting.
  • Address ETL and data quality issues, resolving performance or scalability challenges.
  • Document validation outcomes, defects, and test coverage in line with compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to requirement analysis, gap identification, and deployment planning for data quality initiatives.
  • Leverage data engineering experience to enhance quality management and validation processes.

Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in relational databases, SQL, and coding for various database environments (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, Snowflake).
  • Experience in creating automated processes for data transformation and validation.
  • Familiarity with Shell scripting (Unix Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Proficient in reading business requirements and developing detailed documentation.
  • Skilled in business process and data flow diagram creation (using tools like MS Visio, LucidCharts).
  • Familiar with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Atlassian, Google suite).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with web scripting (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and programming languages (Python, Java, C#/.NET).
  • Understanding of Web Services and REST/GraphQL.
  • Experience with BI reporting platforms like Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or Domo.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with open-source tools like JIRA, Jenkins, or GitHub.
  • Scripting experience for API testing (e.g., Postman).
  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Reasons to Apply:

  • Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Health coverage, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored perks.
