The Advisor will be a member of the Brown & Brown National Pharmacy Practice

(“NPP”) and will serve as a liaison between the NPP and Brown & Brown teammates, clients and prospects.

This role will serve as a key point of contact for purposes of new client intake, delivering market knowledge and capabilities information to Brown & Brown teammates, clients and prospects while also managing the delivery of consulting support to internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties And Functions Including But Not Limited To

Pharmacy Benefit Education both internally to Brown & Brown offices and externally to Brown & Brown clients and prospects

  • Lead discussions and create presentations for various offices, teammates and their clients and prospects related to current pharmacy benefit market dynamics, trends and the overall PBM landscape
  • Present PBM 101 overviews, or similar trainings, to internal Brown & Brown offices, etc.
  • Participate in pharmacy benefit related seminars if requested by Brown & Brown offices (topics vary based on seminar and office). Facilitating additional NPP specialist resources, as needed.
  • Provide Pharmacy benefit consulting marketing and capabilities presentations internally and to Brown & Brown clients and prospects

Assist internal Brown & Brown teammates with business development and prospecting support

  • RFP responses related to NPP and capabilities
  • Coordinating proposals for pharmacy services within NPP (e.g. consulting support, analytics, audit, copay assistance program administration, etc.)
  • Perform various analytics and modeling of PBM pricing, renewals, drug claim analysis, etc. utilizing the NPP tools
  • Coordination with PBMs and external vendor partners to receive necessary data, information, and responses
  • Adhering to project timelines, including requests and follow-ups, to ensure all data is received according to project plans

Work With Internal Teammates Across The Brown & Brown Organization To Discuss And Determine An Annual Pharmacy Renewal Strategy For Their Clients And Prospects Which May Include The Evaluation And Conducting An Opportunity Analysis Of The Following Options

  • Renewal negotiations with incumbent PBM
  • Full RFP/procurement with multiple PBMs/Carriers
  • Vender alliance panel option evaluation
  • Enhanced Rx consulting services (audits, ongoing clinical support, analytics and reporting)
  • Market Check

Manage the strategic and tactical relationship with various Brown & Brown offices thus ensuring retention of clients and associated revenue for NPP

  • NPP Liaison to Brown & Brown offices
  • Triage and collaborate with NPP team on pharmacy projects
  • Navigate the internal Brown & Brown NPP resources and ensure the appropriate team is included
  • Coordinate market relations of carrier and PBM partners with the NPP
  • Engage with NPP team to identify new opportunities and to transition account to NPP
  • Identify education needs for Brown & Brown offices
  • Updates on necessary documents as needed

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant Pharmacy Benefit consulting or PBM Account Management experience in a similar role, including health care or pharmacy benefit management experience
  • Ability to travel as required, including overnight, for client meetings/functions

Preferred

  • Knowledge of both Pharmacy and Medical data and contract dynamics
  • Strong experience in MS Office and/or MS Excel
  • Experience with Tableau or other similar type analytic tools

Pay Range

125000 - 175000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly

rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
