This role will primarily support TaxAct as the organization helps everyday Americans file their taxes. We seek to build a team of experts in tax and technology who are customer advocates and have the mindset to reimagine the services our customers receive.

Position Summary

The Director of Product Management will lead strategic initiatives aimed at driving business impact. As a key member of our organization, you will report directly to the Head of Product and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and services.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic initiatives that align with our business objectives, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive execution and results.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that supports the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify market opportunities, customer needs, and business requirements, translating them into product priorities and roadmap initiatives.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept ideation and definition to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to inform product decisions and prioritize feature development.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of product initiatives on business performance, regularly monitoring and reporting on progress to key stakeholders.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with teams such as Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering impactful results.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment towards common goals and objectives.
  • Proven experience driving results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working in an agile product development environment, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Passion for innovation, creativity, and driving business impact through product excellence.
