As a Knowledge Base Content Creator at 1E, you will play a vital role in developing a deep understanding of our customer and partner ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to craft high-quality knowledge base articles and multimedia content, ensuring that our support teams are equipped with the resources they need. You’ll evaluate existing content and tools, striving to innovate and enhance our approach. Working closely with Engineering, Product Development, and other stakeholders, you will gather information and independently create tutorials and articles to support our users. Your goal will be to continuously improve the customer and partner experience through thoughtful and effective content creation, while also addressing feedback to ensure ongoing enhancement.
How you’ll achieve success in this position?
- Develop a deep understanding of the 1E customer and partner ecosystem, and translate complex concepts into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Create a high standard of knowledge base articles and videos/multimedia content to support the 1E customer and partner support teams.
- Contribute to efforts to evaluate existing content and tooling, and develop innovative and unique approaches for improvement.
- Continuously improve the customer, partner, and support experience through thoughtful content.
- Work closely with engineering, as well as other entities and partners within the ecosystem.
- Independently gather information from experts to develop, organize, and write tutorials, knowledge base articles, and other forms of content.
- Write accurate, well-organized, consistent, and highly effective content for new and updated features of our service.
- Monitor and address feedback received internally and from the customer/partner community.
What you’ll need to succeed?
- Native or close-to-native level of English
- Degree in technical communications, journalism, English, or a related field
- 2+ years of technical writing experience at an IT company (SaaS is a plus)
- Ability to take feedback from supervisors, peers, and reviewers
- Experience using a single-source authoring tool such as MadCap Flare
- Excellent writing skills and a portfolio to show writing samples
- Ability to write clearly and concisely in American English
- Ability to adhere to documentation standards
- Ability to write communications on technical concepts to a broad audience in a way that is simple and usable
- Experience working across multiple teams, for example, Training, Engineering, Platform Engineering, Quality Assurance, and third parties
- Worked in an environment where a creative flair for content is a must
- Having written/recorded a wide range of content types
- Preferably worked in a B2B environment
