We are a dynamic international education firm dedicated to supporting students from over 30 countries as they transition to U.S. schools. We are seeking a part-time AP Calculus Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for experienced educators who are passionate about guiding high school students in mastering calculus concepts and enhancing their problem-solving skills. Our teachers may be asked to facilitate both private and group classes.

This is a part-time, hourly role, fully remote, with no travel required. Weekend availability is preferred. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with certifications and experience.

About the Course:

This rigorous course prepares students for the AP Calculus exam, emphasizing concepts of limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, while developing students' analytical and reasoning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that encourage students to understand and apply calculus concepts, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students thoroughly for the AP Calculus exam, ensuring they are equipped to succeed on test day.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, setting specific targets and adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that respects students' diverse cultural backgrounds and promotes active participation.
• Guide students in solving complex calculus problems and effectively communicating their solutions.
• Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and academic goals.
• Participate in professional development activities and stay current on the latest AP Calculus teaching strategies and resources.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• AP certification or equivalent experience in teaching AP courses.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or virtual school setting.
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
