Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HR Generalist to join our innovative team on a part-time, remote basis. As an integral member of our organization, you will oversee various human resources functions, provide support to our managerial staff and personal assistants, and ensure adherence to our HR policies and regulations.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing HR initiatives and best practices that cultivate a culture of feedback, propelling organizational growth and sustainability. This position entails a commitment of 20 hours per week and reports directly to the Director of Operations. Please note that in-person meetings will be mandatory twice a year, and we are specifically looking for candidates based in Washington State.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, leave management, and offboarding.
  • Oversee the employee onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, including offer letters and I-9 verification.
  • Act as the HRIS administrator, guaranteeing complete data integrity across our internal systems.
  • Process biweekly payroll and resolve any discrepancies with the payroll service provider.
  • Administer paid time off policies, workers’ compensation, and leave management.
  • Generate reports and analytics pertaining to employee metrics.
  • Manage the company's 401(k) program and other employee benefit offerings.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the employee experience in collaboration with leadership.
  • Advocate for employee engagement and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Provide compliance guidance and best practices for recruiting, especially for administrative and management roles.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all employee-related information.
  • Uphold adherence to all HR compliance regulations and effectively apply knowledge of Washington State and federal employment laws.

  • Comprehensive understanding of HR compliance, practices, Washington State employment law, payroll, and leave management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platform management; experience with Paylocity is advantageous but not essential.

  • High level of discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Openness to feedback and a genuine willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently with self-discipline.
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources administration and operations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms; preference for candidates with Paylocity experience.
