Job Title: Senior Director, People and Culture

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director of People and Culture to lead our human resources and organizational development initiatives during a pivotal growth phase. Reporting to the Vice President, People, Justice, and Cultural Affairs, this role will initially oversee one direct report with the potential for team expansion. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our staff is equipped with the systems and processes necessary for success, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that resonate with the organization's mission and values.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture in partnership with the Executive team.
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout the organization to assess staff needs and satisfaction, integrating feedback into HR practices.
  • Manage sensitive personnel matters, including recruitment, onboarding, terminations, and ensuring adherence to principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
  • Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance with legal standards while drafting and enforcing HR policies.
  • Facilitate performance management processes, including bi-annual promotions and training programs to support staff development.
  • Participate in DEIJ initiatives, promoting diversity and inclusion across all HR practices.
  • Mentor managers and organize staff events to enhance morale and engagement.
  • Ensure effective management of the HR information system and budget.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to scale HR functions in a growing organization, particularly in a nonprofit setting.

Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this role is between \(140,000 and \)160,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
