Job description

We are looking for an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts for our resort property. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing, including ad management and optimization. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing the ownership’s marketing strategy, managing the brand across various digital and non-digital channels, and ensuring the successful implementation of the marketing plan. This position requires the candidate to be on-site.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management And Leadership

  • Lead marketing team to ensure goals are met
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
  • Attend leadership and sales meetings, actively contributing to cross-functional collaboration
  • As needed, periodically work with regional marketing teams to share proven marketing tactics and optimization strategies that have driven success at the property. Collaborate on developing and executing regional campaigns and initiatives to drive broader brand awareness and engagement across properties.

Brand Management And Content Creation

  • Lead the management and development of the ownership's brand across all marketing channels
  • Collaborate with the Content Coordinator to oversee the creation and execution of compelling content from conceptualization to completion
  • Ensure engaging, high-quality content is delivered regularly across various channels, including email, newsletters, website, and social media
  • Create and send emails and newsletters with a regular cadence
  • Manage professional photography, video and photo shoots, and deliverables, including staging scenes, supporting models and creators

Campaign And Project Management

  • Manage marketing campaigns and projects across channels including paid, social, email, and content marketing
  • Monitor campaign performance, optimize as needed, and prepare accurate reports on overall performance

Digital Marketing And Website Management

  • Demonstrate advanced skills in digital ad management and optimization across multiple platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, Bing, Pinterest Ads)
  • Implement and monitor digital campaigns, striving to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversee website updates, optimization, SEO audits, and implementation of best practices
  • Extensive experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, social media ads, and similar platforms is essential to be successful in this position
  • Understanding of how to maximize Google Business
  • Experience in adding pages, changing content, and optimizing a WordPress website
  • Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, implementing innovative strategies to improve campaign performance

Social Media Oversight

  • Develop and oversee organic social media strategy across platforms
  • Ensure regular community engagement and management of brand presence
  • Achieve organic social media metrics for growth
  • Engage with and answer online community questions

Strategic Development And Performance Monitoring

  • Participate in the development of the annual and monthly marketing strategy aligned with ownership objectives
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing reports using Lookerstudio
  • Generate insightful reports to provide key stakeholders with actionable insights

Market Research, Analysis, And Demand Generation

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
  • Analyze consumer behavior and market data to inform marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Collaborate with hotel teams and local businesses for exclusive partnerships, flash sales, and loyalty programs to generate demand

Communication And Collaboration

  • Implement effective internal communications to ensure leadership and their teams are informed about marketing objectives and promotions
  • Act as the on-site contact for the PR agency, marketing vendors, and marketing inquiries, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the annual and monthly marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various marketing channels
  • Provide regular budget updates to leadership with performance metrics

Work Schedule And Expectations

  • This is a full-time, exempt position requiring approximately 50 hours per week to perform the job duties successfully. As a leadership role in the hospitality industry, the Marketing Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the demands of the position and to ensure the smooth operation of the resort's marketing efforts.
  • In accordance with California labor laws, this exempt position is not eligible for overtime compensation. However, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate must have a firm understanding of reporting key marketing metrics, marketing efforts, and content creation, with an emphasis on copy for social media, website, various marketing channels, and print. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 plus bonus eligibility
