Job description

Job Description:Metas Solutions has an "immediate opening" for an experienced Program Specialist II to work remote. In this role you will be supporting our client's Business Management Activity (BMA) with programmatic support required to sustain operational continuity for effective implementation of pending projects and tasks. You will provide advanced programmatic Support Service in the management and implementation of public health activities in support of integrated surveillance systems and public health informatics, including technical and programmatic Support Service across all of DHIS.Responsibilities:

  • Previous CDC experience administrative support highly desired.
  • Experience entering and tracking Purchase Requisitions into CDC's Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) procurement system.
  • Travel planning for both domestic and international travel requests. GTO/ITR.
  • Support executive management in the maintenance of their daily calendars and important scheduling needs, Responsible for assisting managers by performing highly responsible administrative detail (including the anticipation of conflicts and early resolution) of an operational or technical nature
  • Analyze data for data quality and presents the data in sections of draft reports, presentations and publications.
  • Organize study files, including data and correspondence files.
  • Extract information from various sources and prepare reports for use in data analysis for division staff and management as it relates to data calls and information as required by CDC Director and senior staff, CSELS center management, and division management.
  • Prepare correspondence, narrative reports, annotated staff studies, and a variety of other related materials.
  • Assist in coordinating higher level special projects by developing project plans and schedules.
  • Provide support in budget functions involving the preparation of budget and contract documents for the procurement of supplies and equipment to support programmatic work goals and initiatives.
  • Advise management on the effectiveness of the programmatic operations and other issues. Prepare of briefings, testimony, scientific presentations and educational presentations for senior level management.
  • Act as property custodian for the division, prepare requests for small purchases, manage and control personal property within a defined custodial area
  • Support the timekeeping and travel needs of Branch
  • Serve as facilities contact building facilities officials, maintain up-to-date Emergency Evacuation list and Floor Plan report, facilities work orders, key requests.
  • Enter pertinent information into a variety of automated tracking systems and maintains program-specific data to track items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding and expenditure data, etc.
  • Provide assistance with the scheduling and logistical arrangements of meetings and training events.
  • Document and distribute meeting minutes; compiling reports; and provide ad-hoc programmatic support to the division's staff as needed.

Qualifications:Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years supporting federal government in administrative support roles required, including specific experience with CDC's Integrated Contract Experts procurement process, with a focus on intra-agency agreements and purchase requisition entry and tracking
  • Significant experience with CDC's Integrated Contracts Expert (ICE) Procurement system
  • The following systems are also needed: ConcurGov Travel System, Vendor Supplied Training System (VSTS), Managing Accounting Credit Card System (MACCS) 1350, Integrated Conference Approval Portal (ICAP)
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills required
  • Experience in Executive Administration
  • Experience supporting multiple on-going activities

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • CDC or Public Health experience strongly preferred
  • ICE Procurement experience
  • Knowledge with Time and Attendance (TASNet) and IFMS (Integrated Facilities Management System) strongly preferred
  • Experience with MS SharePoint is a preferred
  • Experience providing administrative support to executive leadership
  • Microsoft Office and SharePoint experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
