Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the definition, delivery and business as usual aspects of some combination of emerging payments (Real-Time, Immediate, Tokenized, faster payments), Integrated Payments, Payments Modernization, wire payments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver market leading solutions by analyzing market opportunities, understanding complex client needs, defining and validating specific payment use cases and solutions, and keeping abreast of changes in the payments industry.
  • Manage product development, profitability, product positioning, and the entire life cycle for assigned payment solutions.
  • Employ a client-focused, strategic approach in developing pricing models, working with marketing partners in creating collateral and working with Enablement and Sales in positioning products for specific client segments, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with Onboarding, Servicing, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. to ensure solutions are performing as expected, follows established product governance framework, operates within risk appetite and is compliant with policies, rules and regulations.
  • Guides and trains less experienced product management colleagues as needed.
  • Participate in client-facing and external stakeholder activities to ensure all product offerings or experiences meet strategic goals.
  • Manges risk, compliance and audit needs as part of the first line of defense.
  • Provides product training for sales and product staff, operational partners, and appropriate customer support partners. May be liaison across the footprint for product knowledge and implementation of new banking relationships. Participates in promotional conferences, tradeshows, expos and other related forums.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Experience:

Eight (8) plus years experience in any combination of role relevant areas such as: Payments (Commercial, Wholesale, Global) or Product Management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Emerging Payments experience such as but not limited to Real Time Payments, Instant/Faster Payments, Tokenized Payments, Integrated Payables
  • Understanding of standard industry payment origination file formats such as EDI, ISO20022 (as in: XML, SWIFT MX, RTP, Fedwire ISO format, and/or mixed payment files), flat file, Nacha, Fedwire, Etc.
  • Basic understanding of the end-to-end life cycle of payment processing (preferably) within a bank’s environment
  • Incorporating voice of the client into product enhancements and design
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with and influence individuals.
  • Good competency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other efficiency and collaboration tools.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent project management skills
  • In-depth and broad knowledge of Treasury Management applications and products
  • Analytical skills, and the ability to review data with utmost detail.
  • Product Management Experience
  • Definition and delivery of new products or solutions including Basic concepts of product design and go to market (GTM) delivery.
  • ACH payments experience.
  • Fraud services experience (positive pay related solution)
  • Integrated Payments experience.
  • Wire/check payments experience
  • Some experience with client payment origination channels (online banking, files, APIs, ERP integration)
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification
