We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join us during this exciting time of evolution and growth.

You will play a pivotal role within the Commercial function, nurturing the growth and development of the small but talented Commercial Team. You will also be a subject matter expert for all aspects of commercial support to the business including Bidding, Contract Drafting, Risk Management, Contract management and dispute resolution.

Your duties will be varied, and will include:

  • Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, providing comprehensive commercial guidance to the Accounts and/or significant opportunities on which you are deployed
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms and conditions of complex commercial agreements including BPO and SaaS arrangements
  • Providing advice to the business on the risks, liabilities and commitments within Target’s contractual agreements, ensuring that these are clearly understood
  • Developing the commercial strategy and negotiation plan for significant opportunities, aligned to Target’s business strategy
  • Influencing pricing strategy by developing and recommending innovative commercial models to differentiate Target’s value proposition
  • Effectively using a range of data sources to assess commercial opportunity and risk to inform the bid process
  • Leading the generation of the commercial elements of tender responses
  • Managing commercial obligations throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring that value leakage is minimised and commercial opportunities are maximised
  • Managing contractual disputes with customers, working with internal stakeholders to reach outcomes beneficial to Target
  • Work with the sales team to design innovative sales strategies and contract arrangements with an ability to reflect these in drafting.

  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues on resolving actions/issues

You're someone who has:

  • Relevant commercial experience within outsourcing or long term service provision, ideally within a regulated industry
  • Experience in negotiating complex outsourcing and commercial deals
  • Experience of managing complex contractual arrangements
  • Knowledge of commercial best practices
  • Experience of implementing and improving commercial processes and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and strong influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and can prioritise your workload in line with business priorities
