The OPIS Data Science & Analytics team is a collaborative group of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers dedicated to tackling intricate data challenges. Our team leverages extensive industry knowledge, robust analytical skills, and a practical approach to address our organization's most complex business dilemmas.
About the Role:
As a Lead Data Analyst, you'll lead our efforts in harnessing the power of data and analysis to deliver actionable insights. Through advanced visualizations, precise report presentations, and captivating data narratives, you'll drive informed decision-making and uncover valuable insights that propel our organization forward. Join us in shaping the future of data-driven initiatives within our team.
You Will:
Work closely with OPIS Product Management and other Business teams to steer business requirements and lead the development of analytics visualizations and customer-facing dashboards
Gain an in-depth understanding of all OPIS data sources and design advanced data models tailored to complex analytics needs
Conduct deep-dive investigations and leverage advanced analytics techniques using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to create complex visualizations and dashboards, and define metrics
Communicate insights clearly to tell a compelling business story; Perform strategic analysis to identify new business opportunities.
Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with agile product teams on data discovery, cleansing, mapping, profiling, mining, and modeling
You Have:
Degree in data analytics, or related technical field or equivalent experience
4+ years of industry experience in data analytics
Strong analytical skills, proficient in SQL and Python programming
Expertise in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Expertise in design and development of data modeling for BI tools
Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative methods, trend and cross-sectional data, and data integration to achieve project goals
Strong understanding of statistics and their application to business problems
Strong business acumen and ability to handle complex business requirements
Leadership abilities in complex analytical projects
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, focusing on high-quality results
Passionate about telling data stories through visualization and dashboards
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (data science, statistics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or related)
Strong understanding of web analytics tools is a plus
Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator
