Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, the System Administrator, co-op will work closely with the business to provide a wide range of technology support for all office hardware and software. You will act as the first line of support and play a crucial role in assisting with various IT Support requirements.

Position Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of support and assist with other IT Support requirements as needed.
- Monitor and follow up on support tickets, ensuring timely and satisfactory issue resolution.
- Perform the onboarding and offboarding of user accounts, including guest and temporary accounts.
- Aid in the deployment and management of desktop applications and office hardware.
- Support and manage CARFAX Canada’s suite of Microsoft services, including but not limited to Office 365, Active Directory, File server, Exchange Online, Entra ID, and SharePoint.
- Provide support for collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack.
- Assist with enforcing CARFAX Canada policies regarding the use of computers and mobile devices by actively flagging any compliance breaches for resolution.
- Participate in IT initiatives, including the research, evaluation, and deployment of new software and hardware.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and fulfill technology needs.
Education and Experience Required
- Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in computer science or a related field.
- Demonstrated technical skills in a Microsoft-based environment, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows 11, and Windows Servers.
- Familiarity with MacOS and Mac management. Specific experience with the JAMF Mac management suite would be an asset.
- Experience with desktop and application management tools. Familiarity with Intune, Defender for Endpoint and Jamf would be an asset.
- Strong technical skills with mobile platforms, such as iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in business software, particularly Microsoft Office365.
- Basic networking skills.
- Experience in utilizing PowerShell for command-line interface management of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365 services, as well as for general administration of end-user workstations would be an asset.
- Experience with Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence would be an asset.
- Familiarity with MS Azure Cloud is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
