As the Manager, Corporate Communications you will…
- Develop and execute with excellence strategic programs that support the company’s corporate reputation and focus on external communication strategies
- Elevate earned media through effective proactive and reactive media relations in support of the corporate and brand narrative while serving as a key media contact
- Work in partnership with teams and leaders across the business to sharpen the company’s corporate narrative by seeking news and company developments to promote
- Develop fulsome materials to support effective communication, including leadership remarks, press releases, media statements and more
- Counsel leaders on communication best practices to enhance communications impact through media training and other resources
- Lead corporate social media strategies, website developments and content updates
- Collaborate with business partners, including Executive Team, during company financial performance cycle, supporting effective stakeholder communication and media relations

- Support CSR partnerships and develop programming that promotes partners internally and externally
- Effectively contribute to issues management and business change with ability to react in fast-moving circumstances
- Continuously enhance the services of the Corporate Communications team by bringing new and innovative practices forward
- Actively coach, counsel and support all members of the team
- Work alongside the internal team to develop engaging and relevant internal content.
- Manage the PR agency to ensure alignment with the company's communication strategies and objectives.
You will be setup for success if you have…
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, or similar discipline
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in Communications or Public Relations, within fast-paced sectors (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- A successful track record with media relations and previous experience serving as a company spokesperson and managing social media
- Ability to successfully balance execution against a defined strategy with the need to be flexible as opportunities are presented
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a poven track record of building effective relationships with senior executives and business partners and teammates
- Skill/diplomacy in dealing with people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
- Experience in public markets and cannabis industry knowledge considered an asset
- Well developed business acumen
