What you will contribute:

As part of the Compensation team at MoneyGram, you will be able to lead the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures that align with the overall business and compensation strategy. Responsible for managing common compensation functions, including job evaluation, salary structure development, survey participation, incentive plan design, and associated analysis.

What you’ll do:

  • Consults with leaders and key HR stakeholders on issues pertaining to all areas of compensation management. Serves as a resource to explain compensation policy and systems. Provides training on compensation related programs and acts as a subject matter expert in areas of compensation practices.
  • Designs and implements compensation structure and programs to meet company objectives while maintaining internal equity and external market competitiveness. This includes performing job evaluations, developing salary grade structures, incentive compensation plans, and job descriptions.
  • Acts as an internal consultant to provide leadership, counsel, and support to managers and supervisors on compensation practices and programs including job evaluation, internal equity, and policy interpretation.
  • Leads various Global Compensation initiatives that may include updating salary bands, merit/salary budget recommendations by country, managing annual compensation cycle (to include merit and short-term incentive analysis and administration). Supports the development and administration of various compensation policies and programs.
  • Continually reviews and improves compensation programs to ensure they are designed to attract, retain, and engage employees.
  • Ensures compensation related programs are compliant with various related compensation labor laws and regulations. Stays abreast of best practices, recommending current and relevant updates to company compensation programs.
  • Partners with HRIS Analyst to ensure appropriate measurements are identified and gathered for reporting purposes. Performs meaningful analysis and provides reporting to management to serve as a tool for decision making.
  • Participates in HR departmental goals, objectives, and projects to ensure an effective, sustainable, people strategy over the long-term.
  • Manages compensation analyst direct reports.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-7 years’ of related professional compensation experience.
  • International compensation experience strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 2+ years’ direct people management experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and/or sensitive business information.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze, listen, clarify, solve problems and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS technology platforms.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
  • Strong customer service orientation; with the ability to establish strong relationships across business lines and within Human Resources.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience/skills most specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong organizational, project, time and process management skills.

Salary:

Anticipated Base Pay: $140K - $170K base+ participation in our annual bonus plan.
