Job description

Authority Brands Inc. headquartered in Columbia, MD is a leading provider of home services, building brands that support the success of our franchisees, as well as bettering the lives of the homeowners we serve and the people we employ.

The position is responsible for overseeing claims for Auto, WC (work comp) and GL (general liability). This includes monitoring each claim with the insurance carrier until closed as well as fulfilling additional duties as requested.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify payments for insurance policies are processed in a timely manner
  • Complete Work Comp insurance policy audits
  • Coordinate all aspects of a claim with the resolution managers and the AB location management until the claim is closed
    • Obtain repair estimates
    • Ensure work is complete
    • Verify payments
    • Managing injury treatment plan
    • Communicate with HR and Benefits to manage Return to Work Program
    • Draft general liability releases and execute with homeowner
  • Coordinate all event document retention with HSE
  • Ensures all event documentation is properly retained and available upon request
  • Request and Review Loss Run Reports
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And ABILITIES

  • Prior insurance claims experience is required
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office application and proficient with Excel
  • Organize and schedule tasks for completion
  • Communication Skills
  • Travel to attend company-related events
