Job description

This is a US based, temporary remote position.


Elevate is recruiting an Analyst - Legal Operations who is experienced in e-Billing, to support one of its customers located in the Seattle area. This role will be fully remote from 8am-5pm local time.


Specifically, the Analyst - Legal Operations will

  • Assist with e-Billing account code review (ACR) to ensure coding of invoices is accurate.
  • Facilitate approval of invoices in e-billing system.
  • Ensure invoices are sent to the appropriate finance/procurement departments, including triaging and resolving invoices that deviate from payment processing.
  • Batching invoices (automated and manual) to various global finance/procurement teams.
  • Make entity updates to matters in e-billing system and to invoices (in e-billing system and process manually).
  • Support timekeeper (TK) approvals between in house counsel and outside counsel in e-billing system.
  • Support legal service preferred provider program where needed.
  • Create and close e-billing system user permissions.
  • Respond/resolve e-billing process questions related to invoice processing and payment status, timekeeper approvals, matter creation/updates/closure and vendor on-boarding.
  • Support finance and accruals initiatives.
  • Update process documentation and workflows as needed (typically quarterly or bi-annually).
  • Vendor onboarding responsibilities.


Experience

  • 2+ years in legal operations.


Skills for Success

  • Reports and metrics experience.
  • Takes initiative and is proactive.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable learning new systems and process(es).


Technical Skills

  • Experience using major eBilling software vendors, including Legal Tracker, TeamConnect, SimpleLegal, and account payable systems (Oracle) familiarity.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferred but will allow relevant work experience.


Compensation

  • US national salary range: $55,000-75,000, based on job-related skills, experience, level, and location. In addition, Elevate offers full-time employees a comprehensive benefits package and PTO.
