Digital Art Director (UI)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Digital Art Director specializing in UI design, your love for your craft and ability to turn briefs into relevant & effective creative concepts and design executions, while mastering luxury codes and respecting brands’ DNA, will help our clients shine and achieve their goals!

With a strong experience in the Luxury industry and an intimate knowledge of digital design, you will create compelling creative concepts and executions across various digital platforms (including but not limited to Websites, Social Media, CRM etc) for the portfolio of premium brands served by DLG within the watchmaking, jewelry, hospitality, wine & spirits, private banking and real estate sectors.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Develop relevant and impactful digital creative concepts based on strategy, target audience, brand’s DNA, design trends, etc.
  • Meet regularly with clients to understand their needs, and participate in internal brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Develop structured storyboards and mood boards to communicate your creative vision for website design.  
  • Design impactful interactive experiences and original mockups from conception to execution that adhere to digital best practices (and accessible designs is a plus )
  • Create prototypes and collaborate with motion designers to clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Work with Design Systems (components, library, etc.) to ensure effectiveness and consistency
  • Stay up to date on trends, tools, and new technologies and apply them strategically through our ideation and feedback processes.
  • Guide the creative team to ensure the consistency, relevancy, and compatibility of all designs and assets produced. 
  • Actively train & support junior creative team members (e.g. conduct workshops, etc.)
  • Work closely with our Creative Director, Account Managers, Creative team to deliver the project on time and on budget. 
  • Create compelling and structured presentations to share the concepts and execution during internal team meetings and meetings with clients. 
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the quality of execution
 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE 

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital art direction
  • Experience working in a creative studio or as part of an agency 
  • A portfolio showcasing interactive design and digital experiences for various platforms
  • Strong layout and typographic skills, with an eye for detail
  • Experience in designing effective inclusive (accessible and sustainable) experiences for desktop and mobile
  • Knowledge and interest for social media creative and innovative formats
  • Experience in designing for the Luxury industry or premium brands. Familiarity with watchmaking design codes and standards is a plus.  
  • Be comfortable working in a collaborative manner with art directors, designers, motion designers, and developers.
  • Mastery of the following software suite: Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understanding and mastery of the principles of atomic design
  • Understanding of web constraints (html, css, Javascript a big plus)
  • Perfectly fluent in English and French
