Job description

Training Instructor - Automation

This role is responsible for coordination and conduct of automation training activities in Singapore, in other training centres in other countries, as well as onboard vessels as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee training systems at the Training Centre and ensure compliance with company rules and regulations.
  • Stay updated on product developments and relevant knowledge.
  • Develop and implement KONGSBERG training courses and maintain teaching materials.
  • Evaluate training programs and documentation for internal courses in specific product areas.
  • Support the global expansion of training activities and course offerings.
  • Prepare classrooms and create training concepts aligned with Kongsberg Maritime’s strategy and any other adhoc assigned duties.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum educational requirement: Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Maritime Operations, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in maritime operations, vessel operations, or maritime training.
  • Proven teaching experience or ability to convey expert knowledge effectively.
  • Ability to engage with diverse cultures, demonstrate concepts clearly, and travel as needed.
  • Demonstrates a quality-conscious, service-oriented, and creative mindset, with strong communication and cooperative skills.
  • Possesses independence and a results-oriented approach, along with proficiency in written and spoken English.
