Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Monitor to oversee and ensure the successful execution of active facility projects. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining positive relationships with clients and contractors while ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with clients and contractors to foster a positive working environment.
  • Monitor, document, and report on the status of active facility projects.
  • Review and analyze contract designs, specifications, and submittals for compliance with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and governing regulations.
  • Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs), official correspondences, construction reports, inspections, and other contract documents.
  • Coordinate with project team members, including design, procurement, and accounting, ensuring effective communication to confirm contract compliance.
  • Document and maintain records of communication and coordination among the Project Manager, Design Manager, Contract Specialist, Contractor, project technical team, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate mandatory post-award contract meetings, preconstruction conferences, partnering meetings, acceptance meetings, design review meetings, and final inspections.
  • Maintain a current record of project progress and coordinate key milestone dates for MARFORRES staff and units, providing regular updates to senior personnel.
  • Assist MARFORRES in tracking modifications to project scope, cost, and schedule through collaboration with supported Commands and designers.
  • Support MARFORRES with project closeout coordination and perform other related duties as needed.
  • Travel to various project sites across the United States, up to 50%.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Construction Science, or a closely related field (experience may substitute for degree).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning and management, including estimating, cash flow analysis, bidding, purchase order administration, scheduling, and cost control.

  • Proficiency in construction management software packages and Microsoft Office, including Prolog, Primavera, and other scheduling software.

  • Experience with Project Net / Dr. Checks is required.

  • Strong understanding of federal construction processes and procedures.

  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with military rank, chain of command, and customs and courtesies.

  • Active Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) is required.
