Location: Remote (North Tyneside)

Pay Rate: £593.62 - £603.40

Contract Type: Freelance / Temporary

About The Role

North Tyneside Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is seeking a fully qualified Educational Psychologist to support our team on a temporary basis. The primary responsibility will be completing statutory assessments and providing comprehensive Psychological Advice to support decision-making within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) framework. This position allows for remote working, offering flexibility while contributing to the well-being of children and young people in North Tyneside.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct statutory assessments of children and young people as required under the SEN Code of Practice.

Provide high-quality Psychological Advice as part of Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments.

Collaborate with schools, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Utilize your expertise to inform decision-making regarding individual education plans and interventions.

Requirements

Must be a fully qualified Educational Psychologist with recognized professional status.

Previous experience conducting statutory assessments and writing Psychological Advice is essential.

Strong understanding of SEN legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.

Ability to work independently and remotely, managing your own workload.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
