Role Summary


We are seeking a highly driven Sales Account Executive to join our expanding sales team, focusing on the European market. You will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities with professional sports teams, leagues, and governing bodies. As a key member of the sales team, you will leverage your knowledge of the sports industry and existing relationships to drive revenue growth while promoting Storyteller’s innovative platform.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, a passion for sports and technology, and the ability to thrive in a remote working environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities within the sports industry.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of Storyteller’s platform, which includes our SDK for vertical videos, CMS, and content automation.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of sales prospects through outbound strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments and tailor proposals to prospects’ specific requirements.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles, employing a consultative sales approach.
  • Provide market feedback to the product team regarding customer needs.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Product, to optimize sales strategies.
  • Keep accurate records in our CRM (HubSpot) and provide regular sales forecasts.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in SaaS or technology.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong knowledge of the sports industry and its dynamics. The ideal candidate will ideally have an existing black book for decision makers in the sports industry.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
  • A passion for technology and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
