Position Overview: The SAP Architect will design and provide solutions for leading Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. This role is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art services and solutions, including implementing system enhancements that adhere to established processes and meet customer requirements. The Architect will collaborate with business-facing organizations and teams to understand their needs and design effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Deliver customer satisfaction through effective solution design, application lifecycle management, and service performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations (e.g., GxP, GDPR).
  • Business Integration: Lead interactions with business partners and process architects to develop suitable and sustainable solutions that meet customer demand.
  • Operational Vendor Management:
    • Manage vendor performance against defined processes.
    • Develop vendor service improvement plans based on identified gaps.
    • Provide timely input for periodic performance reports and annual service reviews.
  • Change and Release Management:
    • Document current and target application architecture, including the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
    • Monitor lifecycle management plans for applications in scope.
    • Ensure adherence to Change Management processes in line with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Create complete and accurate handover documents prior to production releases.
  • Project Delivery (Optional):
    • Secure team member appointments and oversee the delivery of technical designs for applications/solutions in the portfolio.
    • Maintain development standards and guidelines.
  • Incident Management (Optional):
    • Lead the resolution of critical or complex incidents, including crisis management as needed.
    • Coordinate communication with relevant stakeholders (infrastructure, GIAM team, business key users, etc.).
  • Problem Management (Optional):
    • Develop a master plan to prioritize ticket elimination and automation.
    • Proactively suggest solutions and propose action plans for improvement to management.
Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and/or Business Administration.
  • Experience:
    • 12 years of experience in software or application services.
    • 6 years of experience in an international environment.
Language Requirements

  • English: Mandatory (written and spoken).
  • Additional Language: Proficiency in German, Spanish, or Portuguese is an asset.

  • Good knowledge of Transport Management and surrounding modules (MM-PUR, MM-IM, FI, CO, GTS).
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP development, exits, debugging, and archiving.
