As our Head of Solutions—a role similar to an IT Manager—you’ll be at the heart of our mission. Our organization depends on its tech platform to achieve its mission. We need a passionate leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to shape our future.
Our platform is built using low-code and no-code technologies to enable our mission: finding global tech companies and NGOs, and matching them to enable pro-bono and low-bono tech projects to be implemented. We work to delight both the external users of our platform as they learn about our mission and view projects in our marketplace, and our colleagues at Tech To The Rescue who use our systems to do their daily work.

YOUR ROLE
As the Head of Solutions, you will lead our growing nonprofit's technology initiatives, playing a crucial role in shaping and implementing our IT strategy. You'll oversee a dynamic team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining segments of our platform. Your expertise will drive internal process improvements, ensure strong service delivery, and guide the organization's technological advancement.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Solutions team of 3, fostering a culture of innovation
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Prioritize and manage work, ensuring clear commitments to operational teams and efficient allocation of resources to achieve/exceed those commitments
- Contribute directly to technical work in areas of greatest need and aligned with your skills and experience
- Collaborate closely with operations staff and peer leaders to align technology solutions with organizational needs
- Implement and oversee internal processes, including identifying opportunities for process improvements and leading their implementation
- Develop and track key performance indicators for service delivery and system advancements
- Ensure the seamless integration and optimal utilization of core systems (CRM, database, website, external marketplace, etc.)
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in areas such as AI, to drive innovation in the Tech To The Rescue solutions platform
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to technology implementation and data usage
Your Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in technology leadership and practical implementation roles
- Real-world experience thriving in small team or startup environments, embracing change, and enjoying the hands-on nature of the work
- Strong background in IT processes
- Experience with WordPress, CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Monday.com), and data/application integration tools (e.g., Zapier)
- Proficiency in web technologies and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, JQuery, Laravel), with a strong ability to code, configure, and troubleshoot these systems
- Solid understanding of database architecture, systems (e.g., PostgreSQL), and integration of cross-functional applications via APIs and data migration/synchronisation tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while actively engaging in hands-on technical work, including coding, configuration, and system architecture
- Experience in driving process improvements and achieving measurable results
- Expertise in agile project management and development methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong English (C1)
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector or with mission-driven organizations
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and strategies
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting
- Certifications in relevant technologies or project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Salary: up to 20,000 PLN monthly (employer gross on B2B or contract of mandate) - depending on the fit into requirements and experience.

About The Organization
At Tech To The Rescue, we are building a community of changemakers willing to scale up positive social impact using technology. We match the most effective NGOs with professional teams from top IT companies to create digital solutions addressing some of the world’s most pressing problems.
We are a non-profit organization with a global reach; In the last year, we initiated over 450+ collaborations in 50 countries, with an estimated influence on ~7M lives. In the next 3 years, we are planning to match 2000 organizations and have a positive impact on 50M people!
Our partners include some of the most renowned organizations in their fields including: Ashoka, Google.org, AWS Amazon, UN Women, Lenovo or Twilio.org. Currently we are at about 30 people in the team in total.
We are on a Mission to make it an industry standard so that IT companies at least once a year engage in building Tech For Good solutions. This should allow our Vision to come true – the world in which Social Good Organizations have the technology as well as other necessary resources and tools to massively scale their social/environmental influence.
