Global Strategic Supplier Manager (Remote)

WorkNomads is looking for a Global Strategic Supplier Manager to identify & lead various initiatives with suppliers to enable sustainable improvement. You will bring your valuable experience in leading supplier development programs and quality management and methods.

We are recruiting a Global Strategic Supplier Manager to join our hybrid team.

Dare to have a mission:

• Lead continuous improvement programs of suppliers’ performance on their manufacturing processes.
• Identify & lead initiatives with suppliers to enable sustainable improvements that lead into cost saving.
• Support the root cause analyses and identify potential opportunities for improvements in quality & costs.
• Work closely with purchasing, manufacturing, quality and R&D to assure continuous improvement of product, services and processes.
• Perform process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
• Provide technical support for supplier selection acc. category and/or sourcing strategy initiatives.
• 50% of the time will involve travel to Turkey or other offices or supplier sites across Europe.
  
  
  

The tools in your backpack:

• A university degree, preferably in metallurgical, materials, chemicals or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with various manufacturing processes for fasteners (e.g. surface treatment, heat treatment, wire drawing, cold forming).
• Familiarity with automotive and construction industry standards.
• Six Sigma/ Lean project skills are highly desirable.
• Excellent data visualization and analytics skills.
• Experience in leading supplier development programs.
• Experience in quality management and methods.
• Proven experience in performing supplier audits, based on VDA 6.3
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel within Europe.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
• Fluency in English. Proficiency in Turkish is a great advantage.
