Job description

Our client is a cutting-edge data and analytics provider in a rapidly evolving industry. They are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Specialist to drive engagement and manage their social media presence. The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, lead nurturing, and community engagement, with a focus on Instagram and LinkedIn, targeting B2B audiences.

Location:
Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Posting:
    Manage and execute social media posts according to the content calendar across Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand strategy.

  • Graphic Design:
    Create engaging social media graphics using design tools like Canva and Figma to boost visual appeal and engagement.

  • Video Editing:
    Edit and create short videos for social media platforms, ensuring high-quality and engaging visual content.

  • Community Engagement:
    Engage with the online community by responding to comments, nurturing warm leads, and fostering a sense of community.

  • Lead Nurturing:
    Use HubSpot to track, score, and manage leads, ensuring timely engagement.

  • Brand Voice Development:
    Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain an interesting, avant-garde, and fun brand voice that stands out in the market.

  • Suggest New Technologies:
    Stay updated on the latest social media tools and technologies and suggest innovative ways to enhance engagement and streamline social media processes.

  • Boost Engagement:
    Drive social media engagement by creating content that resonates with the B2B audience, encouraging interaction, and building a strong online presence.

  • Report/Infographic Design:
    Design infographics and research briefs using data provided by NFD for dissemination via newsletters and other channels.

  • Inbound Marketing Strategy:
    Develop and implement an inbound marketing strategy via newsletters and drip email campaigns, including customer target segmentation and KPI measurement (open rate, click-through rate).

  • List Segmentation:
    Create segments based on industry roles for email marketing, crafting specific messages for each segment, including current offers from the company.

    Growth in the company’s social media presence through engaging, relevant content that boosts interactions and drives audience engagement.

  • Lead Nurturing:
    Effective management and nurturing of warm leads through social media and HubSpot, leading to improved client interactions.

  • Creative Content:
    Creation of visually appealing, engaging content (graphics and videos) that aligns with the brand’s unique voice and messaging.

  • Community Growth:
    Proactive audience engagement, fostering a strong sense of community, increasing brand loyalty and awareness.

  • Strategic Technology Use:
    Regular introduction of new tools and technologies that enhance social media engagement and management.

  • Email/Newsletter Engagement:
    Improved open rates, click rates, and reduced unsubscribe rates for newsletters and marketing emails.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    2+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.

  • Design Skills:
    Proficiency in Canva is essential; Figma experience is advantageous.

  • Video Editing:
    Ability to create and edit engaging videos for social media platforms.

  • Social Media Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn, with experience managing B2B accounts and boosting engagement.

  • Lead Tracking:
    Experience using HubSpot for lead tracking and management.

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.

  • Creativity:
    Ability to bring fresh, creative ideas and develop a fun, avant-garde brand voice.

  • Communication Skills:
    Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Marketing Strategy:
    Experience developing custom segments for email and newsletter marketing, and implementing drip campaigns based on customer segments.
